After strong international tourist arrivals in 2017, Airports of Thailand Pcl surpassed Spain’s Aena SA as the world’s most-valuable airport services company, Bloomberg reports. Thailand’s economy grew faster than economists estimated in the third quarter and is on track for a strong year in 2018, underpinned by a pick-up in exports and booming tourism. Thailand’s travel and tourism sector grew by nearly 11 per cent in 2016 and will be the world’s 10th fastest growing country for the industry over the next decade with an average growth rate of 6.5 per cent per annum, according to a report by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).
