FastGo, a Vietnamese ride-hailing app, plans to launch its service in Indonesia and Myanmar in December as it hopes to become one of the top companies in the field in Southeast Asia, Nikkei Asian Review reports. Despite having acquired Uber’s assets in Southeast Asia, Singapore-based Grab is struggling to expand in Vietnam, where it has failed to secure approval from local authorities in the country’s rising tourist destinations that are crucial for its growth. Meanwhile Go-Jek, the Indonesia-based ride-sharing company valued at $5 billion, has begun its ambitious plan to increase its rivalry with Grab  by expanding into three new markets after it opened shop in Vietnam under the brand name Go-Viet, TechCrunch reports.
