The seven-day royal visit by Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall which ended yesterday, reflected the long-standing close and cordial ties between the United Kingdom (UK) and Malaysia. Prince Charles and Camilla arrived in Kuala Lumpur last Thursday on their maiden visit to Malaysia, which commemorates  the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations between Malaysia and the United Kingdom. The couple visited places of worship belonging to the Christian, Muslim, Chinese and Hindu communities in the Penang capital George Town on Wednesday as they celebrated the Malaysian city’s diverse residents.
