Communist rebels in Southern Mindanao said they were ready to face “the full-scale war” that President Rodrigo Duterte’sadministration would be unleashing on them next year. Earlier this month, Duterte revealed his intent to order the “mass arrest” of communist leaders who were granted temporary liberty to allow their participation in the peace negotiations.Duterte signed Proclamation No. 360 on November 23rd, formally terminating the peace talks with the communist rebels.
