Myanmar has rejected a draft resolution on the situation of human rights in the country, tabled by the European Union (EU), according to state media. Facebook has been blamed by UN investigators for playing a leading role in possible genocide in Myanmar by spreading hate speech. In the past the company has said that it was working to remove hate speech in Myanmar and ban the people from spreading it. Australia has told Myanmar that international observers must be allowed into the isolated Rakhine state to monitor the situation of Rohingya still living there, and to supervise the return of any of those who have fled and wish to come back.
