Myanmar’s security forces may be guilty of genocide against the Rohingya Muslim minority and more of them are fleeing despite a deal between Myanmar and Bangladesh to send them home, the top U.N. human rights official said on Tuesday. Fleeing the brutal military crackdown, Rohingya women in Bangladesh’s Cox Bazaar are being sold as sex slaves, according to testimonies by the victims and advocacy groups in the region, Al Jazeera reported. Meanwhile, The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has declared to compensate 300,000 local residents of Cox’s Bazar who have had to experience difficulties due to the mass influx of Rohingya refugees in the past three months.
