CTC is an Indonesian non-profit organization based in Bali with a regional scope and global impact. It is focused on shaping lasting solutions to protect coral reef ecosystems, ensure sustainable livelihoods and food security.

CTC does this by providing training on sustainable fisheries and helping ensure that marine protected areas within the Coral Triangle, considered the world’s epicenter of marine biodiversity, are managed effectively. It supports on-the-ground conservation programs through our learning sites in the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area in Bali and the Banda Islands Marine Protected Areas network in Maluku.

CTC is a certified training center of the Government of Indonesia and an official partner of the Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security. CTC catalyzes collective action by leading networks of women leaders, local government executives, private sector champions, who engage and implement marine resource conservation in Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands, and Timor-Leste.

CTC aims to expand its outreach and impact by developing a Center for Marine Conservation in Bali which will serve as a center of excellence for marine conservation training programs and outreach activities and a venue for artistic and cultural performances, to influence approximately 1.5 million people by 2020 to protect and care for the oceans and those that depend on it.
