PhnomPenhPost-June 2, 2021

Pailin provincial governor Ban Sreymom and local leaders on May 31 made preparations for a crematorium for people killed by Covid-19 and inspected quarantine facilities in Thnal Kaeng village in Sala Krao district’s O’Andong commune. This came as the provincial administration decided to cordon off three villages in the district from June 4. Provincial authorities have also set up quarantine facilities for people who have come in direct or indirect contact with infected individuals, people from outbreak areas and especially migrant workers from abroad. During this time, residents of the villages were banned from leaving their houses or moving from one village to another, except when necessary. A gathering of more than 10 people was also banned.
