Four technology-based Vietnamese startups have made it to the Forbes Asia 100 to Watch list of most notable companies across the Asia-Pacific. The list features companies that address daily problems such as improving transportation in congested cities, expanding affordable connectivity in remote regions and preventing food waste. Seventeen countries and territories are represented. Logivan, founded in 2017 by Linh Pham, is considered the answer to Vietnam’s fragmented highway transportation network. This so-called ‘Uber for trucks’ allows companies to quickly locate and hire trucks which might otherwise return empty after delivering a consignment. Logivan says it has signed up more than 60,000 trucks, and its clients include companies like Coca-Cola, Olam and Wilmar. It has raised $8 million including from Insignia Ventures Partners and K3 Ventures.
