President Rodrigo Duterte’s three eldest children are seeking the highest local positions in their hometown of Davao City. On Wednesday, Duterte’s youngest son Sebastian formalized his bid for vice mayor, marking his entry into politics, following the footsteps of eldest brother, Paolo, and sister Sara Duterte Carpio, Rappler reports. Paolo resigned last year as Davao vice mayor amid allegations that he was involved in the smuggling of P6.4 billion worth of shabu from China into the Philippines through the Bureau of Customs. President Duterte said in March that he was against any legal attempt to block political dynasties, calling it undemocratic. He said it should be the people who must decide whom to vote into office, The Inquirer reports.
