Persecution of Myanmar ethnic group will continue until regional bloc forges united humanitarian policy. Though suspended this week, a plan to forcibly repatriate some 700,000 Rohingya refugees back to Myanmar’s Rakhine state is still in the pipeline. The ethnic Muslim minority fled last year from atrocities that the United Nations equates to ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity.
