My front-page neighbor and good friend Rigoberto “Bobi” Tiglao has made it necessary for me to write this column. On Wednesday (Feb. 1, 2023), Bobi asked whether the President’s first lady, Mrs. Liza Araneta-AGwith the reported sacking of Philstar’s hard-hitting columnist Ramon Tulfo after posting on Facebook that Martin Araneta, LAM’s younger brother, was allegedly involved in “smuggling onions in the piers.” LAM reportedly blew her top when she saw the post, and Tulfo immediately lost his column. It is the hardest-hitting piece to hit the seven month-old Marcos administration. And it puts the first lady on center stage. Thus this column.
