Officials of the Health Service Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and V. Luna Medical Center are the latest to fall in the anti-corruption crackdown of the Duterte administration.  The unceremonious sacking of 22 military officials, including a brigadier general, over alleged corruption in hospital deals, came on the heels of the dismissal of the entire board of the state-run Nayong Pilipino Foundation for entering into a long-term casino-resort development with a Chinese company at the Manila Bay reclamation area.
