A genocide is still underway against Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslims, a United Nations fact-finding team said on Wednesday as it presented a report at the Security Council calling for the matter to be referred to the International Criminal Court, Agence-France Presse reports. Bernama news agency had on Monday reported Malaysian Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah saying “efforts to help the community return to their homeland were initiated by the ASEAN Foreign Ministers Special Task Force led by Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan”. This, however, has been denied by Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to The Straits Times. Meanwhile, families in Rohingya camp in New Delhi fear forced deportation after seven men were handed to Myanmar border guards.
