Everywhere you go these days, the rising exchange rate dominates the conversation.  Most people, whether they are selling or buying vegetables or vehicles, coal or diamonds, gas or gold, are affected by the increasing rate of exchange.  What does the Myanmar kyat’s depreciation against the US dollar, from around K1400 to a little over K1500 in a period of a month, mean for fishmongers and stocks traders?  The answers vary and may amount to a volume or two of macroeconomic and microeconomic text books.
