A long-awaited official report into the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 said that the Boeing 777’s controls were more likely to have been manipulated than to have suffered mechanical issues, Channel News Asia reports. Lead investigator Kok Soo Chon says MH370 deviated from its path, and this was more than as a result of system anomalies, but that the air turn back was made under manual control, The Guardian reports.  Meanwhile, families of passengers on board missing airplane were disappointed by the investigation report, saying that they had learned nothing new. The jet plane vanished in March 2014 with 239 people – mostly from China – on board, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
