Indonesia President Joko Widodo has offered to host a possible meeting between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump to discuss peace in the Korean Peninsula. Meanwhile, South Korean President Moon Jae-in has convinced North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to hold his upcoming meeting with Trump at the demilitarized zone separating the two Koreas, a source tells CNN. Trump has called North Korea’s dictatorial leader Kim Jong-un “very honourable” ahead of a planned face-to-face meeting. Trump’s praise for Mr Kim was nevertheless a remarkable embrace of a ruler who has used brutal tactics to maintain his power.
