Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency, or BMKG, reported a 7.1-magnitude quake rocked Melonguane, North Sulawesi on Thursday at 7.23 p.m.

The quake’s epicenter was at the coordinates of 4.98 north latitude and 127.38 east longtitude, or precisely 134 km northeast from Melonguane, North Sulawesi. It also occured at the depth of 154 km. “The earthquake does not potentially trigger a tsunami,” BMG wrote in their official Twitter account on Thursday.
