Trade negotiation between China and the U.S. is expected to start soon as top officials are scheduled to meet later this month, Nikkei Asian Review reports. China’s Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday that Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen, will meet with David Malpass, undersecretary for international affairs at the Department of the Treasury, at the invitation of the U.S. Shoppers in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong have emerged as beneficiaries of the raging US-China trade war as American exporters seek alternative ways to sell food and fruits, according to a California trade official, as reported in South China Morning Post. Among Southeast Asian economies, Vietnam is the most exposed because of its high level of exports, according to analysis by FT Confidential Research.
