ndonesia has great potential for renewable energy. In terms of installed capacity of geothermal plants, it is second only to the United States. Indonesia’s total renewable energy potential, including hydro, geothermal, solar, wind and ocean energy, is around 409 gigawatts. But renewable energy use is low — about 9.27 gigawatts, or 2.3 per cent of the total potential is being used.
