Majority of Filipinos believe that the “strict stay-at-home measures” implemented by the government are “worth it” to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey. The mobile phone survey, conducted from May 4 to 10 among 4,010 respondents, showed that 84% found the imposition of community quarantine protocols “worth it to protect people and limit the spread” of the virus. On the other hand, 15% said the measure burdened the people. The number of Filipinos who said that the stay-at-home protocol was worth it was slightly higher in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon (whole Luzon except Metro Manila) and the Visayas, at 84%, than in Mindanao, at 81%.  Restrictions were eased in the country’s capital region after nearly 80 days of strict quarantine.
