President Duterte has admitted to being in “perpetual pain” because of a motorcycle accident years ago but expressed confidence it is not yet his time, Philstar Global reports. The president also denied rumors he was seriously ill, but revealed that he once relied on painkillers. Former president Benigno Aquino III said Malacañang should inform the public of the status of Duterte’s health, calling it crucial to allay the fears of public. Previously, Communist Party of the Philippines founder Joma Sison reportedly claimed that Duterte was in a coma. Malacañang has vehemently denied this report and rejected calls for regular medical bulletin on the president’s health.
