Police began cordoning off the entrance to the private residence of former Prime Minister Najib Razak at Jalan Langgak Duta, Taman Duta on Sunday. Deputy Sentul police chief superintendent Mohamed Rafiq Mohamed Mustafa, when contacted by Bernama, said policemen from the Sentul police station had been stationed there for security monitoring. Malaysia’s new Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad in a televised address on Sunday, sought to impress investors on his government’s pro-business and anti-graft agenda. His comments came as police set up an extended cordon. He said his administration would take a hardline approach to dealing with graft. On Saturday he banned Najib and his wife Rosmah from leaving the country after “many complaints” against the former leader.
