Myanmar rejected on Wednesday a report by United Nations investigators that called for top generals to be prosecuted for genocide, saying the international community was making “false allegations“, Channel News Asia reports. UN investigators on Monday called for an international probe and prosecution of Myanmar’s army chief and five other top military commanders for genocide against the country’s Rohingya minority. The UN started its facts finding mission last year to investigate widespread allegations of killings, rape and torture by security forces against Rohingya Muslims. But Myanmar rejected the move as “not acceptable” and did not allow UN investigator to enter the country.
