Indonesia’s Foreign Ministry released on Saturday an official statement on its website in response to the latest developments in Syria, following strikes led by the United States, the United Kingdom and France. The ministry also condemned the use of chemical weapons in Douma. Activists from the Violations Documentation Center (VDC), which records alleged violations of international law in Syria, reported two separate incidents of bombs believed to contain toxic substances being dropped by the Syrian Air Force. The United States, the United Kingdom and France launched military strikes on April 14 in Syria in response to a suspected chemical weapon attack on civilians the week before. The Syrian state denied that the government forces had launched any chemical attack.
