The Indonesian chapter of Bangkok-based NGO End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes (ECPAT) on Monday warned about signs of increasing domestic and global demand for child-pornographic content from Indonesia. Meanwhile, Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Minister Yohana Yembise has said that, based on data from Interpol and the National Police, 25,000 child pornography activities took place in the country every day. Eight in 10 victims rescued from online sexual exploitation are minors, with some of them as young as two months old, said International Justice Mission (IJM).
