Hopes of a speedy resolution to Malaysia and Singapore’s dispute over air and sea boundaries dissipated on Monday as Kuala Lumpur accuses its southern neighbor of selectively releasing past correspondence regarding airspace issues to manipulate public opinion in its favour, South China Morning Post reports. The Malaysian government said on Wednesday that it has sent two protest notes to Singapore pertaining to the airspace and maritime boundary delimitation issues currently facing both countries, Channel News Asia confirmed. Former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak on Monday was arrested by the country’s anti-graft agency over alleged “tampering” of the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) audit report, The Star reports. He was arrested after arriving at the Malaysia Anti- Corruption Commission for a fresh round of questioning. The arrest, carried out on his wife’s birthday, prompted his daughter to pen an emotional heartfelt post on Instagram.
