Mosques across Singapore will be closed for at least five days from Friday (March 13) for thorough disinfection, and this week’s Friday prayers are cancelled, Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli said.The moves come after two Singaporeans who attended a religious gathering in Malaysia were diagnosed with Covid-19 this week, he told a media briefing on Thursday. In addition, all mosque activities, such as classes, lectures and mosque-based kindergartens will be cancelled for 14 days from Friday to March 27.
