Catholics around the country may still do the traditional “Visita Iglesia” without violating the government-imposed enhanced community quarantine and physical distancing. Visita Iglesia is the faithful’s practice of visiting various Churches and praying the station of the cross on the evening of Maundy Thursday to atone for their sins. The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippine (CBCP), through  media director, Msgr, Pedro Quitorio, said that it has opened to the public its Visita Iglesia Online, which for the last nine years was only intended for Filipinos living in non-Catholic countries and those who were sick or homebound. Quitorio said the portal allowed one to pray the “pasyon”, Stations of the Cross, virtually visit churches, and attend streamed liturgical celebrations.
