Japanese automotive giant Toyota plans to introduce 10 electric vehicles to the Indonesian market over the next five years, as part of its $2 billion investment pledge to support the Southeast Asian country’s push to develop a world-class electric vehicle industry and reduce fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse emissions. Last year, Toyota announced its commitment to invest at least $2 billion in Indonesia’s automobile industry over the next five years. Toyota’s chief executive officer for Asia Region, Miyazaki reaffirmed the company’s commitment, saying that electric vehicles’ development and production were on the way until 2025:
