The Ministry of Economy and Finance has determined its Covid-19 testing fees for incoming foreigners who are quarantined or treated at hospitals in the Kingdom. The fees vary significantly in price, from $5 to $1500 depending on the service. The ministry also requested that foreigners who test positive for Covid-19 purchase local health insurance. In a letter sent to Minister of Health Mam Bun Heng on Monday, finance minister Aun Pornmoniroth said foreign passengers would be required to pay at least $160 for testing, transportation, accommodation and food. Foreign travellers arriving on planes with a confirmed Covid-19 patient will be required to quarantine at a hotel or health center and pay at least $180 for each service. A health certificate will cost $30. Patients requiring treatment or emergency services will be billed up to $1,500.
