Vietnamese and British companies have signed 26 deals worth hundreds of millions of dollars at 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference. One of the most notable deals was between Vietjet and Rolls-Royce. They signed a $400 million contract for engines and engine services for Vietnam’s upcoming wide-body aircraft.

Hanoi-based diversified company Sovico Group signed a memorandum of understanding with Oxford University to cooperate and finance investment in research and education development with a total value of £155 million ($212 million). Affinity Investment Fund and HDBank reached a grant of $300 million for the program on sustainable development and climate change combat. Vingroup signed an agreement on research and development with Raphael Labs on the research of Covid-19 prevention medicine. Diversified group T&T, Hanoi Medical University and Spanish company Hipra decided to partner on building a vaccine research center in Vietnam and in training human resources. The U.K. also donated £500,000 toward Vietnam’s campaign against Covid-19.
