An onslaught of negative feedback flooded the official Facebook page of Thailand’s premier Prayut Chan-o-cha a day after it was launched over the weekend, backfiring on his attempts to get “suggestions” on the social media platform, Channel News Asia reports. Though parties aren’t allowed to campaign for the elections until mid-December, some have criticized the government for allowing pro-junta politicians – who are reportedly convincing MPs to join the pro-junta Pracharat party – off the hook, Khaosod reports. Last month, Prayuth declared that he was “interested” in participating in politics, an indication he may seek to remain in office after elections scheduled for early next year, according to South China Morning Post.
