Thousands living in the shadow of a rumbling volcano on Indonesia’s resort island of Bali fled on Wednesday after a small eruption on Tuesday. Mount Agung belched smoke as high as 700m above its summit late Tuesday afternoon, sparking an exodus from the settlements near the mountain. Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a travel advisory that Singaporeans are advised to avoid travelling to Mount Agung.
