Singapore's Changi no longer world's best airport: Condé Nast Traveler

Turkey’s Istanbul Airport has been crowned the world’s best airport this year, surpassing Singapore’s Changi, as voted by readers of the U.S. magazine Condé Nast Traveler at the annual Readers’ Choice Awards. Seoul’s Incheon Airport in South Korea secured third place, followed by Qatar’s Hamad International Airport in Doha and Switzerland’s Zurich Airport. Rounding out the top 10 were airports in Hong Kong, Dubai, Tokyo Haneda, New Delhi, and Mumbai. Over 575,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers participated in the survey, sharing their ratings and opinions on various travel experiences, including top cities, islands, hotels, resorts, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. The Readers’ Choice Awards, the longest-running accolade in the travel industry, honor excellence in hotels, resorts, and destinations worldwide. Last year, Singapore’s Changi Airport, renowned for its indoor waterfall—the world’s tallest—was named the best airport at the same awards. Spanning four terminals and covering over one million square meters—equivalent to 156 football fields—Changi is famous for its cutting-edge facilities, including duty-free shopping and luxury hotels.
