The Philippines’ HIV epidemic continues to surge despite renewed attention from policymakers. Inadequate resources, societal stigma and limited access to healthcare undermine efforts to mount an effective response to the crisis. A firm political commitment, paired with community involvement, is necessary for the Philippines to turn the tide on HIV. Such collaboration should aim to strengthen investments in healthcare services, education programs and the supply of diagnostic tools and medication.
