The lack of classrooms has been a perennial problem for our students, teachers and administrators. It is compounded by the cyclical nature of our typhoons, around 20 of which visit the country every year, destroying classrooms along their path. It is also worsened by corruption, whose ugly head appears not just in the classroom backlog, but also in our wasted flood control projects that led to massive flooding in recent weeks.
