The Department of Migrant Workers is proposing the posting of permanent labor attachés in Southeast Asian countries as cases of human trafficking of Filipinos continue to rise. Trafficking has grown into a billion-dollar industry in the region, and among its biggest victims are Filipinos who are lured by offers of respectable, high-paying jobs, only to end up as slave laborers at online scam farms.
