Former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak lost his cool several times during an interview on Friday with international news agency Al Jazeera as he was quizzed over matters like troubled state fund 1MDB and a pink diamond allegedly gifted to his wife. The interview ended with him walking out. Najib has apologised for his outburst during an interview with Al Jazeera, explaining that he was concerned about his family at the time. Najib appeared in court again last week, facing a third round of criminal charges against relating to the 1MDB scandal. It brings to 38 the total number of charges against Najib, who has already pleaded not guilty to dozens of fraud, corruption and money laundering charges over the 1MDB scandal, described as the biggest in Malaysia’s history, The Guardian reports.
