According to the Journal of Financial Crime, Malaysia’s shadow economy accounts for 24.2 per cent of GDP, or RM117 billion, while corruption losses is RM60 billion.

Digital technologies and the digital economy have transformed organized crime by creating a highly profitable, low-risk environment for illicit activities.
