The long-promised Ombudsman Bill is set to be tabled in Parliament in early 2026. Originally scheduled for 2022, the bill was delayed. The proposed Ombudsman office is expected to subsume the roles of the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) and Public Complaints Bureau (PCB), creating a centralized public complaints channel to drive reform, improve service delivery effectiveness and strengthen governance.
