The Malaysian couple who were among those arrested by the police for the alleged kidnapping of a Palestinian man are not from PKR , the party’s information chief Fahmi Fadzil said today. After a post showing the couple’s profile photo with a PKR frame — indicating their support for the party — went viral, Fahmi said the move was a personal decision. “I can confirm that the husband and wife who were arrested, Nidarayahu Zainal and Raibafie Amdan, are not members of any branch or division of Keadilan and have no connection to the party,” he said in a statement, using the party’s name for itself. Yesterday, local media reported that police rescued a 31-year-old victim a day after being kidnapped by a group of locals believed to have been recruited by Israeli intelligence agency Mossad to help the Zionist regime hunt down Hamas members in Malaysia. Links to the agency have yet to be officially established, with the police warning members of the public against further speculation.
Last Friday, 11 individuals, including a woman, were charged at the Magistrates’ Court here for the kidnapping a Palestinian national, Omar ZM Albelbaisy, to obtain information about a software used to hack mobile phones.
