Indonesia’s holiday island Bali, voted Asia’s most beautiful island by travelers, has been named the world’s best culture destination by Tripadvisor readers, thanks to its rich cultural heritage and vibrant traditions. The accolade, part of the 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards, honors destinations with thriving arts scenes and deep historical significance that inspire travelers globally. Bali’s culture is characterized by intricate dances, captivating rituals, and ancient temples. Its harmonious blend of Hindu-Balinese beliefs infuses every aspect of daily life with profound meaning and purpose. In October, Bali was also voted Asia’s most beautiful island by readers of Condé Nast Traveler in its Readers’ Choice Awards. Last year, the island welcomed 6.3 million international visitors, surpassing pre-pandemic numbers, and aims to attract 6.5 million this year.
Vietnam’s capital Hanoi, renowned for its centuries-old temples and French colonial architecture, claimed second place in Tripadvisor’s culture destination list, followed by London in third. The awards are based on traveler reviews submitted globally on Tripadvisor between Oct. 1, 2023, and Sept. 30, 2024.
