BRUNEI, INDONESIA ARMED FORCES DISCUSS FURTHER COOPERATION

The 10th Brunei-Indonesia Army Working Group (BRUNESIA AWG) 2018 meeting between the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and Tentara Nasional Indonesia – Angkatan Darat (TNI AD) is ongoing in Bandung, Indonesia.

RBLF Chief of Staff Colonel Khairil bin Haji Ismail is leading the RBLF delegation, while Deputy Assistant for Operations to Indonesian Army Chief of Staff Brigadier General Untung Budiarto is heading the TNI-AD delegation.

The October 23-26 meeting is to coordinate bilateral activities such as visits, courses, training and military exercises for next year to facilitate activities between the two Armed Forces and to discuss future opportunities of cooperation.

The BRUNESIA AWG is held once a year and hosted by both countries on an alternate basis. The previous meet was held in Brunei from April 17-20 last year.
