Malaysia’s new administration made several leadership changes at government agencies on Monday in pursuit of its pledge to weed out corruption and probe the previous government’s dealings. Malaysia’s Attorney-General Mohamad Apandi Ali has been told to go on leave, pending an investigation into his role in allegedly covering up a massive corruption scandal involving ousted leader Najib Razak. Malaysian Prime Minister Mohamad on Monday said he will replace the country’s attorney general and anti-corruption chief, as officials stepped up a probe into alleged widespread graft in the Barisan Nasional government, defeated in last week’s general elections.
