Does Myanmar have ethnic conflicts? Of course, we have conflicts. The conflicts are there and we believe they are not something the government and Myanmar people cannot sort out. The problem is who interprets the word ethnic conflicts and how some people with different vested interests narrate the events.
For starters, the word “federal”, has various meanings depending on which perspective one is taking on. For a minority ethnic group, it may have a totally different meaning from that of the majority Burmese tribe or the Myanmar Tatmadaw, or military. From our perspective, every ethnic group indigenous to this land should have equal rights.
