To some US politicians, it seems that simply being a Uygur is enough to provide a true picture of China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. When four overseas Uygurs told heart-wrenching stories about their brethren housed in “camps” in Xinjiang at a conference hosted by the US State Department at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Tuesday, they played their assigned roles well, inciting a China-bashing chorus denouncing Beijing’s “systemic oppression” of Uygurs in a region that is home to many ethnic groups.  Read more at: http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/201909/25/WS5d8b6506a310cf3e3556d76a.html
